STEM In Aviation Day Trip
Students from Chobham Academy attended the London City Airport STEM In Aviation Day, which brought together around 400 students from 25 East London schools. Students were invited to learn about the importance of STEM subjects in the modern workplace. Sessions were delivered by British Airways, BAM Engineering and the University of East London; students were highly engaged and represented Chobham admirably with high-quality questions and responses. Students took part in an LCY themed business challenge and were judged by a panel of high profile business representatives and politicians. Students from Chobham showed great resilience and teamwork which payed of when they made it to the final eight teams. They showed great confidence in presenting their design to a panel and up to 400 students in a tense room. Chobham was recognised for their unique selling point, the "friendzone" and achieved the "highly commended" award as runners-up.
