The Shrouds of Somme
Year 9 and 10 art students met Rob Heard the artist who created the Shrouds of Somme in the Olympic park. He said, “This artwork was not difficult to create but I needed determination to complete the sheer scale of the piece and that is why each and every one of you could of produced it” The students were really pleased to meet him. His artwork represents every 72,396 British Commonwealth servicemen killed at the Somme.
